Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Plain-English summary. We collect the minimum needed to run the service: your email, your settings, and basic usage logs. We never see your full card details — Stripe handles payments. We do not sell your personal information. You can delete your account and data at any time.

1. Who we are

LedgerNorth ("we", "us") operates the LedgerNorth prediction-market analytics service ("Service"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what rights you have. Contact: privacy@ledgernorth.io.

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Card data is submitted directly to Stripe and never reaches our servers.

3. How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of: performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for); legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement); consent (optional notification channels, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation.

5. Service providers

We share limited data with providers who process it on our behalf:

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.

6. Data retention

We keep account and settings data for as long as your account is active. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and reliability purposes. Billing records are retained as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.

7. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS in transit, hash passwords with a modern memory-hard algorithm, encrypt stored delivery credentials at rest, support multi-factor authentication, isolate each account's data, rate-limit authentication attempts, and take regular verified backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously. Report vulnerabilities to security@ledgernorth.io.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them — note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. To exercise any right, email privacy@ledgernorth.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking.

10. International transfers

Our infrastructure is located in Europe and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, where reasonable, notified by email.
